University Policies and Procedures Manual

This manual presents functions, information and guidelines covering situations that may occur any time at Florida International University. It is designed to enable personnel to handle situations smoothly and effectively. All executive, key academic and administrative managers, deans and department heads should be familiar with its provisions.

New and revised policies must have approval notations from the divisional Vice President and General Counsel. Upon approval, the policy (along with approval notations) should be forwarded to the Office of Business Services (348-2187) to be published as part of the official University Policies and Procedures. These changes or revisions will be disseminated in the form of replacement pages or sections.

This manual is dependent upon the ability of its authors to recognize the changes in regulations, laws and policies, in the State as well as the University, and to present them in a manner that is understandable the University community. Please forward any comments or suggestions regarding this manual to the Office of Business Services.
